Description: An original Stevengraph -
Landing of Columbus Oct 12 1492 - first woven at the World's Columbian Exposition (WCE) in 1893 in Chicago. This version, without the title was probably made for export to the continental market, lacking the title.
The Stevengraph was not exclusive to the WCE and many were made (in Coventry) and sold in the UK and other countries.
Size: The weaving is 7 x 2.5 inches. The mount/matt is 11 x 6.5 inches (approx.) - slightly longer than the UK version.
Condition: The colours are have faded a little with age and light exposure and there is no damage to the silk. The card mount/matt has a very clean look to it.
