Unusual antique brown salt-glazed stoneware bulk ink bottle, with a cylindrical body, sloping shoulders and distinctive tall square-form neck with circular pouring opening. This form is associated with Victorian bulk ink bottles. Similar square-finished stoneware examples are documented from the later 19th century.

A lovely characterful piece of early utilitarian pottery with an impressed mark near the base.
