Synopsis:

In this issue, set during Batman's early years, Gotham is gripped by a killer targeting elderly citizens, later revealed to be a disgraced surgeon who escapes justice on a technicality before dying in a suspicious explosion. In the story's aftermath, Batman, the police commissioner, and the district attorney forge an alliance to close gaps in the city's criminal justice system, unaware that the district attorney is harboring a violent second personality rooted in childhood trauma at the hands of his own father. When a mob boss disfigures the attorney's face with acid during a courtroom confrontation, his darker half fully emerges, leading to a killing spree and a final reckoning with his father that turns on the flip of a coin. The story is a definitive retelling of the villain's tragic transformation and remains one of the most acclaimed done-in-one origin issues of the character's history.

Unless noted, raw comics ship individually bagged and boarded. Up to 6 Standard 32 page comics (3 Oversize) will be packed in a magazine bag, sandwiched with cardboard and shipped in a rigid mailer. Orders of over 6 Standard or 3 Oversize comics will be packed securely and ship boxed. There is a limit of 2 Standard with 2 Oversize comic books to a mailer.
