Description: Original and rare 1901 Stevengraph; 'H.M.S. Majestic'. The ship was commissioned in 1895 and was the largest pre-dreadnaught launched at the time. In 1915 she was dispatched for services in the Dardanelles Campaign to support allied landings at Gallipoli. In May of that year she was torpoed by a U-Boat sinking with the loss of 49 men.
Condition: The silk is in poor condition with a blue tone, probably caused by some (sea) blue colour run. There. are a few light marks on the silk but no obvious damage. The mount is not original and the silk is taped to the back (as images) The picture is 6 x 4 inches approx.
