VICTORIAN SILVER SOLDIER FIGURE c1870 REGIMENTAL TROPHY FINIAL 81g


 

Rare Victorian sterling silver soldier trophy finial with lion hallmarks.  I have no idea what this finial came from but I assume some kinf of regimental shooting trophy as the figure is a rifleman.  Screw thread connector under his right leg, the screw thread nut also has a lion silver mark.  
 

Marks: English hallmark lion mark inside his right knee & also to the screw thread nut underneath.

Dimensions: approx 2¼ inches overall height including the screw nut.

Weight: 2.64 troy oz (82.1g)

His rifle is bent but otherwise excellent condition.
