Rare Republic of Ireland silver coin 'the Centenarian Bounty' awarded to all Irish citizens who reach their 101st birthday.  This is the 2017 edition.  Pure silver marked to the rim as 1000.  Original presentaion case, the silk interior signed in gilt letters MICHAEL HIGGINS. 

I know nothing of the recipient, this lovely coin arrived in a large collection of coins I acquired at auction.

Marks: rim stamped FINE SILVER 1000.
