The unit has been partially tested but is not fully working, therefore it is being sold as spares or repair.
Testing carried out:
* Unit powers on. * With no cassette inserted, the transport mechanism operates when START is pressed. * Fast forward and rewind operate with a cassette inserted. * The mechanical tape counter operates and counts while the tape is being transported. * When START is pressed with a cassette inserted, the mechanism attempts to pull the tape but stalls and does not play correctly under load. * The REC button only depresses a small amount and recording functionality has not been confirmed. * The built-in speaker has not been tested, so its working condition is unknown.
Please note that the battery compartment cover is missing, as clearly shown in the photos.
No further diagnosis, servicing or repair has been attempted.
