WHY USE COMPONENT VIDEO?

The standard Wii composite cable sends video through a single yellow RCA connection.

Component video separates the video signal across three connections — Y, Pb and Pr. On compatible equipment, this allows the Wii to output 480p progressive scan and generally provides a noticeably cleaner image than standard composite video.

This is especially useful for Wii consoles connected directly to TVs, component-equipped CRTs, video processors, scalers and retro gaming setups.

COMPATIBILITY

Designed for the original Nintendo Wii using the Wii AV Multi Out connection.

Important: Your television, monitor, receiver or scaler must have compatible component Y/Pb/Pr inputs, or you will need an appropriate converter/scaler.
