I am selling my daily driven Suzuki Grand Vitara as it doesn't get used as much as I was hoping for. Everything works great including ice cold aircon, cruise control, reversing sensors and all the locking differential settings (4hi and 4low). Mileage is 118862 miles but expect 119k as it is still being driven.
This was bought to be used as a small camper conversion and will come with the insulated panels that were cut to cover all windows (apart from the front, that has a weird reverse umbrella thing that covers the windscreen) and the carpeted folding box (ratcheted down) in the boot to put a sleeping mat on. This was tested in the snowy hills of Wales in January and during the crazy heat recently and the added wind deflectors worked great for adding ventilation during summer. I put the heated seat buttons in but never fitted heated seats, so don't get excited, they are non heated seats. Heater works great though!
When you aren't camping in it, it drives very well with all gears and the 4WD settings working as expected. The exhaust has a rattle at around 1700rpm but it doesn't appear to be blowing after a quick inspection, it can probably be repaired with a hammer in the right spot. Cruise control works fantastically, and there is a towbar fitted but I haven't tested it or it's electrics. 3 out of 4 tyres are good but one is going to need replacing, and the spare is present and has plenty of tread on it.
Keyless entry/start and remote central locking are a nice modern touch, and 2 fobs are present along with the V5 and a ton of service history from the last owner in South Wales where it looks like it was a grocery getter in the hills. I serviced the engine when I bought the car 9 months ago so it would probably benefit from some fresh oil and filters before it's next MOT on 9th November. It sailed through its last one before I serviced it and I don't see any reason why it wouldn't pass this time. All the electric windows and sunroof also work fine, but there is a small chip in the passenger side of the windscreen, I forgot it was there until I moved the sunvisor and it hasn't grown in the months I have been driving it.
This vehicle has never let me down and has literally gone everywhere in snow and dirt due to the proper 4WD system. There are some small marks on the paint, a crack in the rear light housing and evidence of a light bump on the right side of the front bumper but nothing that would affect the drivability of the car. I put the tints on the windows, the rear looks great but the side windows could use another go- again they serve their purpose. I bought front brake discs and brembo pads because they squeaked during the summer but after taking the wheels off there is plenty of life on the existing parts, so I'll leave them in the boot with the jack and tools.
If you have any questions please do get in touch, you are bidding to buy this vehicle and it is sold as seen, I have been as honest as I can be, this has been a great adventure car but its too big for just one person for small local trips. Collection from Halesfield, Telford but delivery within 30 miles or so is potentially available for a negotiable rate.
