USED. A Bontrager Maverick ASYM wheelset in polished aluminium/metallic blue/silver/black. The rear wheel is the Ceramic version of the Maverick ASYM, so you need to have brakes with brake pad that are specifically design for ceramic coating. There is very little wear if any on the rear wheel's rim brake surface ceramic coating (See photos). The rear wheel has a Shimano STX RC (FH-MC38A) polished aluminium hub and DT Swiss stainless steel spokes. The rear hub has some marks, scratches and oxidisation on it (See photos). The freehub makes that lovely positive click when you turn it. The is a small amount of play in the freehub.

The front wheel has a Hayes Compatible oversized polished aluminium front hub and 6 point rotor. The front hub has some marks, scratches and oxidisation on it (See photos). The rotor has some marks, scratches, oxidisation and a small amount of light surface rust on it. Both wheels have DT stainless steel spokes and silver spoke nipples (See photos).The spoke nipples have oxidisation on them (See photos).

There are some marks, scratches and oxidisation on the wheelset (See photos). The rear wheel has 3 indentations on the rim brake surface (See photos). 2 of these are on one side of the rim brake surface and the other 1 is on the other side of the wheel's rim brake surface (See photos). The rear wheel has 3 bent spokes. Some of the spokes has some scrapes marks near the freehub area (See photos). 

On the front wheel there are numerous marks and scratches on the rim brake surface (See photos). I believe these were caused by the previous owner using a screwdriver trying to remove the tyres off the wheelset. Apart from this there is no wear on the rim brake surface and is nice and flat due the front wheel being run on the disc brake (See photos). The wheelset comes with brand new red Hermanns rim tape (See photos). The wheels are 95% true. You could true them if you feel the need to do so, but I do not think you need to and are ready to be used. The wheelset will be carefully wrapped and put into a box before being posted.

To minimise the impact on the the environment, as a generalisation when we pack a lot of our items for delivery, we use packaging that has used previously to pack electric bicycles. We have an arrangement where we re-use their unwanted packaging and therefore minimises the impact they have on the environment and helps us to minimises the impact we have too. All re-used packaging is checked before use and is generally very high quality and expensive. On other occasions we re-use unwanted newspapers and or unwanted boxes from DIY suppliers. Please if possible try and reuse the packaging yourself. Thanks.
