Original 1979 Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Masters Guide hardcover by Gary Gygax, published by TSR Games. This is the classic First Edition “Efreet” cover version with artwork by David C. Sutherland III.

Based on the white endpapers, 232 numbered pages, wizard TSR logo, and copyright page without a December 1979 revised-edition statement, this appears to be an early fourth printing from 1979.

This is a heavily used, well-traveled copy being offered primarily as an affordable original gaming copy or collection filler. The exterior has substantial rubbing, scuffing, color loss, worn corners and edges, and considerable deterioration along the spine. The spine covering and board edges are frayed and separating in areas, with binding cloth exposed at the hinges. Please handle the book carefully, as the binding is fragile.

The interior remains readable and appears complete through numbered page 232. Pages show general age toning, occasional spotting, edge wear, and other signs of use. The original owner’s name is written inside the front cover, and an old $1.50 price sticker remains near the upper corner. The Gary Gygax signature shown inside is part of the printed book and is not a hand-signed autograph.

Includes the original tables, rules, illustrations, Appendix N inspirational-reading list, glossary, index, and vintage Gen Con advertisement. No loose accessories, reference sheets, or extras are included.
