Being offered is a Lionel Large Scale G Gauge Pennsylvania Red Caboose Train Outdoor Indoor 8–87700 in the original box. This is untested, so I do not know if the light works, but you can see the battery compartment is clean. The only thing I see missing is a red light out of the back lantern shown in the photos. The box is rough as it has some shelfware and it looks like it was also wet or at least damp at one time. The good news is the boxes did their job and there’s no signs that the dampness got to the actual piece as it is clean except for some dust but no evidence of any water damage on the caboose. You can see the caboose box also has a win the window on the display coming loose. The caboose itself is very nice not tested to see if the lights work and it is marked Pennsylvania, 700 on the side of the caboose and the actual number is a Pennsylvania caboose 8– 87700. I am not the original owner nor do I know much about trains or collecting. I am not picking up any musty smell even though the box indicates that it might have some but the previous owner kept a dryer sheet in the back of the box I believe to keep any moisture from drawing in to keep it dry and also avoid any possible musty smell. So actually, they smell very nice like a dryer sheet ha ha
