Rare, original contemporary art exhibition pamphlet/catalog: "Tastes and Tongues: Miami" (Sabores y Lenguas: Miami). 


This unique 4-page, double-sided document measures 8.5" x 11" and serves as both a roadmap and curatorial text for the acclaimed site-specific project by renowned conceptual artist Miralda and the FoodCulturaMuseum.


This catalog was distributed during the project's Miami activations in June and July of 2006 across prominent local venues including the Centro Cultural Español (Coral Gables), the Collins Building (Miami Design District), and TransEAT/FoodCultura Archive (Little Haiti).


About the Project:
Tastes and Tongues is a massive, multi-city research and art project that explores the gastro-cultural richness of global cities where diverse communities live together. Initiated during Miralda's research residency in Miami in 2002, the project focuses on how food serves as a tool for dialogue, preservation, and cultural memory. The Miami iteration specifically analyzes the flavor, rituals, and languages of the city's vast Latin American and Caribbean diaspora.

·       Blackboard Wall: A public interactive space used to record sentences, recipes, and drawings during the show.
