Genuine Thule Cast Away 885 roof-mounted fishing rod carrier reel box.

This discontinued Thule system was designed to mount to vehicle roof crossbars and securely carry fishing rods and reels. The hard-sided reel box protects the reel end of the fishing rods and features a locking lid for added security. The original Cast Away 885 system used this reel box together with a separate front arch that supported and secured the rod tips.

Condition:

Used and in good overall shape with normal cosmetic signs of previous use. The silver lid has some light scratches/scuffs consistent with age and use. The black lower section, hinges and interior present well overall. Please see photos for the exact cosmetic condition.

Important: The separate front rod-support arch and rubber retaining strap from the original 885 system are NOT included. Only the components shown in the photos are included.

This would be an excellent replacement reel box for someone who already owns a Thule Cast Away 885 setup, or for someone restoring/completing an existing system.
