Long-handled roller gauge for letterpress cylinder presses or big platen presses.

Used to adjust rollers to correct pressure, at measure of .918. Long 14" handle. Can be used with both platen and cylinder presses.  Slide it under with low portion of gauge, turn it up,  and then pull it through on top of gauge to check pressure, and then adjust the rollers thereafter to the proper pressure according to forme, press qualities, and inking requirements. From American Wood Type Company, which makes it an antique, I suppose.
