This is a beautiful antique Edwardian 1913 solid sterling silver watch chain with a  bull dog clip at one end of the piece with a t-bar and a fob/medal at the other end. 

This chunky solid sterling silver piece weighs 42.4g. This piece measures approx 39cm long and 0.7cm wide in the widest central part. Each smooth oval link is stamped with the lions passant. 

The bulldog clip at one end of the piece measures 2.2cm long and it is stamped with the Birmingham makers initials 'E.W.'. The smooth t-bar near the other end of the piece measures 3.7cm long. The oval shaped fob or medal measures 3.7cm long and 2.8cm wide and it hangs on a large round bail. The fob is inlaid with colourful blue/green/white and red enamel with the lettering 'STROUD SWIMMING CLUB'. The other side of the fob is stamped with a full Birmingham hallmark with the Birmingham makers 'W H Haseler' initials 'W.H.H.' along with the date stamp 'O' (1913). The fob is engraved 'A.Butt Won 1919'.
