Vintage Japanese Hina Dolls – Emperor & Empress Pair

Authentic vintage Japanese Hinamatsuri (Girls’ Day) Dairi-bina dolls, featuring the traditional Emperor and Empress court figures. This matched pair stands approximately 9 inches tall and dates to the mid-20th century (circa 1950s–1960s).

Both dolls are dressed in vibrant orange silk/rayon brocade kimono with layered sleeves and woven detailing. Faces are finely painted with serene expressions, typical of post-war Japanese craftsmanship. The Emperor features traditional facial hair and topknot styling. Construction includes composition/wooden heads with hand-applied hair and fabric-wrapped backs, consistent with quality vintage Hina dolls.

Condition:

Good vintage condition overall. Clean faces with no cracks observed. Clothing is bright and intact with light age-appropriate wear. No original box or accessories included. Please review all photos closely as they are part of the description.
