The Pioneer CT-F900 is renowned for its smooth, open, and highly detailed analog presentation. Before Restoration

After decades of service, the Pioneer CT-F900's precision cassette transport, two-motor drive system, and recording and playback mechanism required careful inspection before restoration began.
For this CT-F900, HQaudios paid particular attention to the condition of the transport mechanism, drive system, tape heads, capstan, pinch roller, tape guides, cassette well, and complete tape path.
The power supply, recording and playback circuits, Dolby noise reduction system, signal path, transport control electronics, switches, push buttons, and illuminated level display system were also carefully evaluated to determine the deck's overall operating condition before restoration began.

During Restoration

Based on the inspection results, this CT-F900 was restored according to HQaudios' technical standards while preserving the engineering and performance characteristics that have made this model one of Pioneer's most respected vintage cassette decks.
The transport mechanism and drive system were cleaned, inspected, serviced, and adjusted to ensure smooth and accurate tape movement. Tape heads, capstan, pinch roller, tape guides, and the entire tape path were carefully cleaned and evaluated to maintain proper tape contact and transport stability.
Playback, recording, fast forward, rewind, pause, transport controls, and Dolby functions were tested for dependable operation, with applicable adjustments performed during servicing.
The power supply, signal path, Dolby circuitry, and internal circuit boards were inspected to ensure reliable operation. Components that no longer met technical specifications were replaced based on the condition of this unit, while critical solder joints were inspected and reinforced to improve operational stability.

After Restoration
