This is a special collaboration between ORIGAMI and Maruyoshi Kosaka Shikki-ten, a historic Japanese lacquerware workshop based in Kiso-Hirasawa, Nagano.

This exclusive limited edition was originally released through ORIGAMI's official online store via a limited lottery release.

  • Dripper S 'fuji'

The porcelain dripper is individually decorated by skilled Japanese artisans, who carefully apply Urushi lacquer by hand to create a delicate striped pattern.

The "fuji" (Wisteria) design starts with a matte pink dripper, layered with shades of purple and pink Urushi lacquer to evoke the graceful beauty of blooming wisteria flowers.

A subtle gold line adds an elegant accent to the design.

Urushi lacquer is traditionally associated with black and red, but by adding minerals and pigments to natural Urushi lacquer, artisans can create a rich range of colors, including blue, pink, purple, and other beautiful shades.

Each dripper is a unique expression of Japanese craftsmanship, combining ORIGAMI's distinctive form and colorful design with the delicate handwork of traditional lacquer artisans.

  • Avoid direct sunlight, which may cause discoloration or deterioration of the Urushi lacquer
  • Do not use abrasive sponges, scouring powder, or scrub brushes
  • Avoid excessive impact
  • Do not use over an open flame or for bain-marie cooking

Due to the natural characteristics of ceramic production and the handcrafted finishing process, small surface irregularities or tiny pinholes may be present. These are characteristic of the manufacturing process and should not be considered defects.

As each piece is handcrafted from natural wood, the grain, color, and translucency of the lacquer may vary slightly from one piece to another. Minor changes, scratches, and wear that reveal the wood grain over time are part of the natural aging process of Urushi lacquer and are considered part of its character.

Maruyoshi Kosaka Shikki-ten was established in 1945 in Kiso-Hirasawa, a small town surrounded by the deep forests of the Kiso Valley along the historic Nakasendo Road in Nagano, Japan.

Under the leadership of third-generation craftsman Reo Kosaka, the workshop continues the legacy established by previous generations while evolving the traditions of Kiso lacquerware through contemporary woodworking and Urushi craftsmanship.

This collaboration brings together ORIGAMI's modern coffee culture and distinctive design with the timeless techniques of Japanese lacquer and woodworking.
