An attractive engraved stone seal, attributed to the Sasanian/Persian tradition, featuring a stylized winged bird or eagle-like figure with outstretched wings and engraved symbols beneath.
The stone has a beautiful dark chocolate-brown colour with striking milky-white natural inclusions/banding. A transverse drilled hole passes through the seal, presumably for suspension or mounting.
