Beautiful vintage 1:12 scale kitchen/dining furniture set, comprising four chairs signed Den Young 1988, together with a matching farmhouse-style table and large dresser.
The furniture came together as a set furnished within a vintage dolls house. The table, chairs and dresser are clearly coordinating pieces in the same wood, finish and style and have remained together as a suite.
The four chairs are individually signed “Den Young 88” underneath. The table and dresser are not signed, so while they appear to form part of the same original set, I cannot confirm that these two pieces were made by Den Young and have therefore not attributed them to the maker.
The four chairs are beautifully made with shaped wooden seats, delicate turned legs and stretchers, spindle backs and decorative pierced central splats.
The substantial farmhouse-style table has two working drawers and a beautifully detailed slatted pot rack beneath.
The large dresser is a particularly impressive piece, with panelled cupboard doors, working drawers and cupboards, grooved back panels, tiny metal hooks and decorative pierced/scalloped detailing signature of Den Young.
The furniture is in good pre-owned vintage condition with signs of age and use as would be expected. Please study all photographs carefully, including the close-ups and photographs of the Den Young 1988 signatures, as these form part of the description.
