Getinax sheet  is a laminated plastic made from paper sheets glued together by hot pressing using a binder: phenolic or epoxy resin. The basis of the material is cellulose, that is, paper. It is impregnated with molten synthetic resin or with a solution (alcohol or water-alcohol) of resole resin. After the resin hardens, the sheets are pressed under pressure and dried at a high temperature - 150-160°C. Then they cool again - this also happens under pressure. vibration, such as gears, bearings and shafts. In addition, its resistance to chemicals and moisture makes it ideal for use in harsh environments. Getinax differs from textolite in that the reinforcing material in it is paper while in textolite it is cotton fabric.
