This is a hand carved verdite shona-style bust made and signed by Edward C Ndoro.

Born in 1973, Edward C. Ndoro was a well-know Shona-stone sculptor from Zimbabwe. He learned the craft from his father in the 1990s, often using striking green verdite :African jade" to capture human expression in tribal elders with traditional details such as pierced earlobes and stylized hair.
