Description

Listed for sale is this awesome large Victorian era sage green and white 3 dimensional Jasperware wall plaque.  This late 19th century to very early 20th century oval shaped plaque features a lady and gentleman in a romantic pastoral scene.  The gentlemen is reading a book of poetry or literature to the lady.  In the background are trees and the border of the plaque features flowers in high relief.   I attribute  this plaque to the works of either Schafer and Vater or Volkstedt  of Germany. There are no identifying makers marks.  It is large measuring 12 1/2"x9 3/4".  Condition is very good.  There are NO chips, NO cracks, NO hairlines and NO repairs.  It comes with wire ready for hanging on a wall or just as attractive in a plate holder to be placed on a mantle, shelf or in a curio cabinet.  Don't miss this attractive antique piece!

Payment

Payment is expected within 3 days close of auction. IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO PAY WITHIN THE 3 DAY TIME PERIOD -- PLEASE RECONSIDER PLACING YOUR BID. I do not mean to sound harsh in making that statement, but I have in recent months encountered an excessive number of buyers who do not adhere to my payment policy and in many cases unfortunately have not paid me at all. 

Shipping

All items ship via USPS Ground Advantage or US Priority Mail unless otherwise noted. Items will ship within 5 business days of receipt of payment. Please note that my local Post Office has shortened hours on Saturdays. I normally DO NOT make trips to the Post Office on Saturdays.  

Terms of Sale

Items will ship within 5 business days of receipt of payment.  Payment is expected within 3 days of close of the auction and if not received within 3 days an automatic unpaid item case is opened by eBay.  I understand that sometimes emergency situations arise, therefore, if there is a problem where you cannot remit payment within the 3 day time period, please at least contact me to let me know. If you have a problem with the sales transaction PLEASE contact me immediately so that we can resolve the problem prior to posting negative feedback or filing a claim with eBay.  

 

 

International Bidders - I will NOT mark as "Gift" or falsify the value for customs purposes. Please do NOT ask me to do this. I accept returns only on items that may have been inadvertently misrepresented in description.  Items must be returned within 30 days of buyer receipt.  Buyer must notify me immediately of intent to return the item. Please do not return the item without first giving me notice of your intentions! The item must be returned to me in the same condition it was in prior to buyer receipt.

About Us

Mostly all of my items come from estate sales, yard sales, consignment stores, other dealers, auctions, and my own personal collections. I try my very best to accurately describe the items I offer. If I am not really sure about the best method of cleaning an item I will leave it as found. Most of the items are antique or vintage and most always USED and because of that I cannot guarantee whether an item has been exposed to pets, smoke or other allergens. Please know that I typically begin ALL of my auctions with LOW starting bids. This practice in NO way reflects the quality of the item.
