Rare EG Bronzes automotive sculpture with exceptional Peter Mullin Collection provenance.

This highly detailed sculpture depicts the extraordinary Voisin C6 Laboratoire, the revolutionary French racing automobile associated with the 1923 Grand Prix de Tours.

Created by EG Bronzes / Emmanuel Gatault and dated 2015, the piece is presented on a substantial display plinth bearing a plaque reading:

“Grand Prix de Tours 1923”

The base is clearly marked “EG BRONZES 2015” with the maker's logo. The automobile itself also bears an EG marking and 2015 inscription underneath.

Peter Mullin Provenance

This piece comes directly from the collection of renowned automobile collector Peter Mullin and was consigned by the Mullin family.

Peter Mullin was internationally known for his extraordinary collection of French automobiles and automotive art, particularly significant examples of Voisin, Bugatti, Delahaye and other important French marques.

The Mullin provenance is especially appropriate for this sculpture given Peter Mullin's well-known association with Voisin automobiles.

Condition

The piece remains highly displayable but has condition issues that are clearly documented in the photographs.

The tires/wheels exhibit cracking, deterioration, losses and areas of apparent previous repair/adhesive residue. There is additional finish loss, scratching, patina and general surface wear to the automobile.

The presentation base exhibits scratches, scuffs, marks and other signs of previous display.

Nothing has been restored or altered by us. It is being offered in the condition in which it was received from the collection.
