This is an fabulous 19th Century Victorian Black Straw Baby Bonnet. It is embellished with a black silk ribbon bow on the top of the hat that extends around to the back and long silk ties. The straw is very lacy and pretty. There is some black silk lining inside the bonnet and there is a wire frame around the back inside edges of the bonnet as well as down the middle of the back of the bonnet to help keep it's shape. The wire is a bit bent.
The width of the back of the bonnet is approximately 4" so this most certainly a baby bonnet.
This is in exceptionally good condition. The straw is in perfect condition and is soft and flexible. The silk ribbon is also in great condition. There are some tiny pin holes in the ties where it has been creased but there are no splits.
