an original vintage photo
Woman wearing camping or outdoor gear with her cropped curly hair seems to have no trouble lifting that rifle to shoot while out in the wild.
The firearm is the famous US Model of 1917 military rifle, manufactured during the World War I production boom by Winchester, Remington, or the Eddystone Arsenal to supply American troops heading overseas. The distinctive visual details of the rifle are cleanly visible, including the elongated wooden handguard extending nearly to the muzzle, the stacking swivel band, and the robust front nose cap assembly. Known for its incredible strength, six-round magazine capacity, and potent chambering in 30-06 Springfield, the M1917 was actually the most widely issued American infantry rifle on the battlefields of Europe during the Great War.
