L.G.B. Le Grand Bleu Archive BONO SWEAT Coated Jacket – Size 3 – Made in Japan

Featuring the brand’s signature elongated proportions, heavily articulated panel construction and distinctive coated finish.

Founded in Japan in 1999 by Nobuhiko Satoh, L.G.B. became one of the defining labels of the Japanese underground fashion scene alongside sister brand If Six Was Nine. The label is particularly known for its fusion of rock, grunge and gothic influences with highly engineered silhouettes, distressed treatments and unconventional fabric construction.

The BONO series is one of L.G.B.’s most recognisable and collectible recurring designs, characterised by its sculptural upper body, elongated sleeves, oversized layered collar construction and extensive use of asymmetric paneling and hardware.

This piece is the BONO SWEAT, style number 04818F.

Constructed primarily from cotton with a dark coated treatment that gives the surface an almost leather-like sheen while retaining the softness and flexibility of a sweat fabric. Contrasting textured panels are placed through the sides and underarms, giving the jacket a highly dimensional, armour-like appearance.

The front features a full-length two-way zip, two vertical zip pockets and an additional asymmetric chest zip pocket. The oversized layered hood can be worn open and draped around the neck for L.G.B.’s characteristic sculptural silhouette.

The extremely long sleeves and narrow body proportions create the exaggerated, stacked look closely associated with early L.G.B. styling.
