The Fender Custom Shop is the division responsible for designing and manufacturing Fender's custom-made guitars.

The instruments crafted there represent the absolute pinnacle of quality.

The Stratocaster featured here is a Custom Shop creation by none other than Chris Fleming—a former Senior Master Builder revered as a legend within the Fender Custom Shop!

*Note: Chris Fleming currently serves as the Director of Custom Operations.

This guitar features a "slab-board" style rosewood fingerboard, an alder body, and a maple neck, adhering to 1960-style specifications.

It boasts the orthodox configuration favored by traditional Stratocaster players.

Closet Classic: An aging process designed to replicate the look of an instrument stored in a closet for years—featuring subtle signs of aging such as fine weather checking and a slight dulling of the nickel hardware.

Unlike "Relic" finishes, it does not replicate the heavy scratches or wear associated with intense playing.

In hand, the guitar feels comfortably lightweight, offering exceptional acoustic resonance where the vibrations from the low strings travel clearly from the core of the body all the way through to the neck.

When plugged into an amp, the sound is anchored by the rich low-mid frequencies characteristic of an alder body, while the slab rosewood fingerboard contributes a sweet, thick tone with pleasing sustain.

The harmonics ring out brilliantly, and the instrument is highly responsive to picking nuances, allowing the player's touch to shine through in every note.

[Condition]

The neck is straight, approximately 50–60% of the fret life remains, and the truss rod functions perfectly.

All of the bridge saddle height adjustment screws have been replaced.

While there are some minor, scattered scratches, none are particularly noticeable, as they blend in with the "Closet Classic" aging finish. This is sure to be a guitar you'll enjoy—a real workhorse ready for immediate use!
