Background:During her eight-night engagement at Caesars Tahoe from September 25 through October 2, 1980, Cher delivered a lavish, high-energy spectacle as part of her Take Me Home Tour, seamlessly blending her solo disco hits like "Take Me Home" with rock covers and cabaret numbers that reflected her concurrent era fronting the hard-rock band Black Rose. The extravagant production featured iconic Bob Mackie costume designs requiring more than a dozen outfit changes—with Cher rarely wearing any ensemble for longer than eight minutes—alongside flamboyant stage props such as a mechanical bull named "El Toro" and a giant high-heeled shoe slide. The show was further elevated by mid-performance interludes from famous drag impersonators Kenny Sacha (as Bette Midler) and J.C.
