Frank Falla was a newspaper man in Guernsey when the German forces occupied the Channel Islands in 1940.  This is his story.

He describes how for three years he and his colleagues fought Nazi censorship.  He relives his days as a contributor to the underground news sheet and reveals the identity of the man who betrayed them and had them sent to German prisons.  Finally, he tells of the disillusionment many Chanel Islanders faced on liberation, as well as their joy at the freedom they had fought for so consistently.

This 1975 edition paperback is in very good overall condition considering its age although there are some signs of wear to the cover in the form of minor bumps and knocks to the edges and corners (see photograph).  All pages are present, tightly bound, and free from tears, creases, and any significant marks although they do display very light age-related discolouration in the form of yellowing to the page edges.  The book runs to 173 pages (18cm x 11cm), includes a general index plus an additional 4 pages of illustrations and photographs.
