Attachment lens (macro lens with positive focal length, English close-up filter) is an additional device for the lens that changes the value of its focal length (image angle). It is enclosed in a frame and is put on directly on the lens, usually screwed on like a light filter. Visually, the attachment lens is a thin lens in a frame with a standard threaded mount on the lens, the same as for light filters. The shape of the lenses is usually convex-concave, with the convex side away from the lens - this shape is preferable for short-focus wide-angle lenses, but there are also plano-convex and macro lenses with an outer concave side - with this shape, spherical aberration is minimal, which is especially good for telephoto lenses. A macro lens is used in photography to shoot small objects close-up without using a specialized macro lens. Macro lenses work like a magnifying glass or reading glasses, bringing the image closer to the main lens [3].

The main advantage of this solution is its low price, compared to a specialized macro lens, as well as the ability to take macro photos with a camera with non-replaceable optics. However, the result is somewhat worse, especially noticeable is the loss of sharpness at the edges of the image.
