'1991' handmade and signed ceramic chalice or goblet by artist/ceramicist Sasha Makovkin (1928-2003) Northern California - Mendocino. He was known for digging his own stoneware clay from Mt. Tamalpais, and for collaborating with his wife, Susan. This chalice is white and blue and features two hands about to clasp together. 7" tall x 5" diameter. The incised name and fan-shaped comb stamp mark on the underside of the base is his distinctive signature trademark.
Pre-owned. No chips noted. There is a big drip in some of the glazing which might be intentional by the artist. Provenance unknown.
