Good condition original WWII US Cattaraugus 225Q fighting knife. These knives were made for Quartermaster or heavy field use. Thick blade for prying open crates, checkered heavy pommel for banging or hammering nails. It's in well used, very good shape. It's just over 10 1/2" long w/a 6" blade. It has light sharpening w/a very good edge. Some light grind marks (foot pedal stone type) no rust or pitting and still has a good amount of finish. Marked on the ricasso as shown. The guard is tight. The leather grip is in very good shape. The checkered pommel is clean and solid. This comes in an original leather sheath that's in very well-worn condition w/an intact keeper and snap. Good original issued and used WWII American knife.
