Explanation:

This is an antique Japanese sword signed Yasumitsu, one of the representative master swordsmiths of Bizen Province.

The blade is attributed to the early Muromachi period and shows beautifully forged mokume hada (burl wood-grain steel texture) with a powerful and lively midare hamon (irregular temper line).

The jigane is well forged and displays the rich character for which Bizen works are highly admired.

It is housed in a high-quality shirasaya, giving the sword an elegant and refined appearance suitable for advanced collectors of Japanese swords and Bizen masterpieces.
