This listing is for a 4-piece set of Japanese Sumo Tegata Shikishi, featuring Konishiki and Mitoizumi.
Each shikishi features a traditional red sumo handprint (tegata) together with bold black calligraphy. Tegata are distinctive pieces of Japanese sumo memorabilia and make excellent display items for collectors of sumo wrestling and Japanese sports history.
The set includes four shikishi boards in total, with two Konishiki and two Mitoizumi pieces.
The fronts remain attractive and suitable for display. Due to age and storage, the reverse sides show noticeable spotting, staining, discoloration, and foxing. Please examine the photos carefully, particularly the images of the backs, as they form an important part of the condition description.
These pieces are ideal for a sumo memorabilia collection, Japanese sports display, or traditional Japanese interior decor.
