The sword is in beautiful overall condition. There are no fatal flaws such as bends, cracks in the edge, or major chips. There are forging marks, small scratches, stains, and other age-related signs of wear. Please review all photos carefully before purchasing.

Explanation:

This is an antique Japanese katana with no signature (mumei).

A sayagaki inscription attributes the blade to “Den Bungo Takada Fujiwara Takayuki”.

The blade features a beautiful itame hada (wood-grain forging pattern) and an elegant suguha hamon (straight temper line), showing refined traditional workmanship.

With a blade length of 66.4 cm and a substantial blade weight of 714 g, this sword has a strong and well-balanced presence suitable for appreciation, collection, iaido, batto, or tameshigiri use.

A Japanese registration certificate and sword bag are included.

The approval process usually takes about 20–40 business days (approximately 3–5 weeks), and we will ship the item immediately once the permit is granted. In total, please expect around 30–40 days from purchase to shipment (in most cases, around 30 days).
