The Malibu Player features a distinctive small body shape, a short-scale neck, and a Stratocaster-style headstock. This is a 2020 model from the Fender Acoustic California Series.

It is equipped with a solid spruce top, mahogany back and sides, a laminated mahogany neck, a walnut fretboard and bridge (with a 612mm scale length), and a Fishman pickup/preamp system with a built-in tuner.

This electro-acoustic model is compact and easy to handle; it incorporates thoughtful design elements—such as bracing that effectively controls tone while keeping volume in check—making it well-suited for unplugged playing as well.

Signs of use are evident, including stickiness on the plastic knobs, scuffs, wipe marks, pick marks, and clouding or pitting on the metal parts.

The instrument underwent a full setup (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, and action adjustment) upon arrival. The frets retain sufficient height for playability, and the truss rod is fully functional in both directions (verified up to ±60° of movement, though currently set on the tighter side).
