Product Description

Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster with a rosewood fingerboard in Burgundy Mist Metallic.

Made in 2013.

This guitar has undergone several modifications.

The original pickguard has been replaced with a metal pickguard featuring an engraved decorative pattern.

The pickup configuration has been changed from SSS to HSS. The bridge pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB humbucker. The neck and middle pickups are the original Fender Noiseless N3 Single-Coil Strat pickups, although their pickup covers have been changed to black.

The body was originally routed at the factory to accommodate an HSH pickup configuration, so no additional routing has been performed.

The controls have been changed to one volume and one tone control. The pots and pickup selector switch also appear to have been replaced.

The guitar is equipped with a 5-way selector switch. In the bridge-and-middle position, the bridge humbucker is coil-split, producing a combination of the inner bridge coil and the middle pickup.

The control knobs have been replaced with metal dome-style knobs. The pickup selector switch tip and tremolo arm tip have also been changed to black.

The rear tremolo cavity cover has been removed.

Although the guitar has been extensively modified, the overall color scheme is well coordinated. The modifications give it a practical and distinctive appearance.

Features

The Fender American Deluxe Series was introduced in 1998 as a modern, high-specification version of Fender's classic instruments.

The compound-radius fingerboard gradually becomes flatter from the lower frets to the higher frets, providing comfortable playability and making string bending easier in the upper register.

The staggered locking tuners improve the string angle between the nut and tuning posts, helping provide stable tuning and improved sustain.

The contoured neck heel improves access to the higher frets.

This is a popular model equipped with modern features such as locking tuners while retaining the classic Stratocaster design.

Cosmetic Condition

There are several modifications, but they do not negatively affect playability. This may be an especially appealing guitar for players who appreciate this type of customized specification.

There are small dents, scratches, and scuffs on the body, including several marks approximately the size of a grain of rice.

There are dents with finish loss on the treble-side horn, bass-side horn, and along the edges of the back of the body.

Some screws and pickup pole pieces show signs of rust.

There are small scratches on the back of the neck, but they do not interfere with playability.

There is some discoloration or staining around the area where the headstock meets the neck, likely caused by contact with a guitar hanger.

There are also various minor scratches, marks, and signs of use throughout the instrument.

Neck and Frets

There is some localized fret wear, mainly under the second and third strings up to approximately the 7th fret, but it does not affect playability.

Approximately 70% of the frets remain.

The truss rod is functional and has adjustment room in both the tightening and loosening directions.

Electronics

The guitar has been tested and is functioning properly.

There are no problems with the output.

There may be a small amount of scratchy noise when operating the control knobs, but it is within the normal range for a used guitar.
