The Shimano Beastmaster MD6000 is one of Shimano's most powerful electric reels, engineered around a single mission: overpower massive fish with speed, without breaking.

At its core is the newly developed GIGA-MAX brushless motor, exclusive to the Beastmaster series, delivering strong, stable power even under sustained high-temperature conditions where standard motors lose performance — and with no carbon or copper brush components to wear out, it is designed for enhanced durability. This power is housed in Shimano's HAGANE body, using lightweight, high-rigidity aluminum and magnesium to minimize flex and distortion for smooth, precise gear engagement, while an enhanced cooling system protects the body during long, high-load fights.

A Thermo Adjust Drag Control system automatically reduces motor speed when the drag is slipping, preventing excess heat buildup and protecting consistent drag performance over long fights. The reel is also compatible with Shimano's Tankenmaru fish finder display system, projecting real-time water depth, bottom contour, and fish signal information directly onto the reel counter. An 80/92mm interchangeable long handle supports powerful manual retrieval when boating a big fish alongside the boat, and the reel is designed for saltwater fishing.
