Original 1970 Indianapolis Motor Speedway Photo Lot (11 Prints)

Offered is an authentic lot of eleven (11) original vintage color glossy snapshot photographs taken by a spectator during the 1970 Indianapolis 500 at the historic Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

This collection provides a genuine trackside view of race day in May 1970—the landmark year Al Unser Sr. claimed his first Indy 500 victory driving the iconic Vels Parnelli Jones Johnny Lightning Special.

Key Highlights:

• Features a standalone snapshot of a local motel marquee proudly displaying CONGRATULATIONS AL UNSER under a checkered flag sign structure.

• Includes views of pit row preparations, race cars lined up and servicing, as well as on-track action including car #58 at speed entering the turn.

• 11 original color photographic prints.

• Good vintage condition overall with flat, natural vintage paper curl consistent with age and storage. Colors retain good warmth and saturation typical of late-1960s/1970 film stock. No heavy creases or major tears visible on the fronts. Backs have not been inspected for writing or adhesive residues.

• Standard vintage square format (approx. 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches).

Photos ship flat, sleeved, and safely reinforced between stiff cardboard.
