This is an original press photo. When Dr. Joseph Logsdon came to New Orleans in 1964, he was immediately intrigued by the ethnic nature of the city. Like most outsiders, Logsdon envisioned new Orleans to be a typical Southern city. He expected the people to speak with a drawl. Much to his surprise, the voices he heard reminded him of the Southside of Chicago, the ethnic neighborhood in which he grew up. He felt immediately at home. Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 11-29-1981.
