Full Description:A fantastic, authentic vintage angling estate find. This is a complete, traditional fisherman's river kit featuring a beautiful vintage wooden roll-top/sliding-lid tackle box complete with an assortment of 11 vintage Devon Minnow spinning lures. This set has wonderful character and represents a true working angler's kit from the mid-20th century.
The Wooden Box: Features a classic, smooth-sliding roll-top / slide-mechanism lid. Divided internal wooden compartments designed perfectly to house Devon minnows and components. The box appears to be made where the lures attach themselves to the wood, Displays a beautiful, rich aged wood patina with authentic wear from years of use on the riverbank. Sometimes items are delivered hundreds of miles away often for £4, which is cheap today, depending on weight and size. Items are wrapped in bubble wrap and boxes which today is so expensive to purchase.Where possible I go for 2nd class Royal mail tracked to get items there faster.
