Antique/Vintage Ringtons Limited Tea Merchants Pagoda Tea Caddy (1920s/1930s)
Item Description:
authentic, original pre-war Ringtons Limited Tea Merchants
pagoda-shaped ceramic tea caddy. This is a genuine vintage piece from the
1920s–1930s, produced during Ringtons' historic partnership with C.T. Maling
& Sons pottery in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Unlike the common 1990s modern reproductions, the base of this caddy bears the exact original blue transfer stamp reading: "Ringtons Limited Tea Merchants, Newcastle upon Tyne." The exterior features the beautiful and intricate blue and white Chinoiserie " Temples" pagoda and bridge landscape motif. Lid Detail: The matching lid sits cleanly on top and features a classic raised central knop (finial handle). The lid is free of cracks, though it does not feature an internal monogram stamp
Condition Details: Flaws: There is a notable chip on the base of the caddy (please see close-up photos for exact size and placement). The lid is present and free of cracks, sitting cleanly on top. General Wear: As expected with genuine 1930s earthenware, there is fine, age-appropriate glaze crazing throughout the body and lid.
Overall: Aside from the base chip, the blue-and-white graphics remain sharp, bright, and vivid. It still displays beautifully from the front, making it an excellent shelf piece for collectors of British advertising pottery.
Dimensions:
Height: 20cm (approx. 7.9 inches) with the lid on.

Please note items purchased together can be packed together and save on postage where possible I always try to charge the correct postage I do not look to profit from postage
Posting items is not cheap that said I do not factor the postage in to items I am selling; I show the postage separately, there is no such thing has free postage. Sometimes items are delivered hundreds of miles away often for £4, which is cheap today, depending on weight and size. Items are wrapped in bubble wrap and boxes which today is so expensive to purchase.Where possible I go for 2nd class Royal mail tracked to get items there faster.I have and do refund any excessive posted charges if I get it wrong Sometimes with large items I will try other couriers to try to get the posting cheaper.
Please look at the pictures, these are part of the description, vintage and antique items do have age related wear and tear they also have quality and character.
