A sprawling, conceptual work built around themes of sudden disruption and life‑altering events, The Incident stands as one of Porcupine Tree’s most ambitious studio albums. The first three sides form a continuous 55‑minute song cycle, shifting between atmospheric passages, heavy progressive sections and introspective songwriting. The final side collects four standalone tracks recorded during the same sessions. This 2021 European reissue, pressed on 140‑gram vinyl, delivers the full scope of the album across two LPs with Transmission’s signature clean presentation.
