This ensemble is reminiscent of Gothic Victorian fashion and a wonderful OOAK ensemble which includes dress and the handmade crown/tiaraThe vintage dress Karen Okada for David Howard, Climax, is a stretch material with layers of lace at bottom, mermaid in style with a split at bottom front where the lace has a burgundy hue. It has a scooped open back and a choker style button collar attached that fastens with 3 burgundy pearl buttons at back. Light beading at bodice
Shown on live model who is a size 2, it worked fine by belting it (no belt included), and as stated it has stretch so will fit larger body size, but for best fit I would not recommend for more than an "estimated size 8. Always see flat measurements as well as mannequin measurements as it does fit her as shown.
**Re-created from unrelated, previously owned separates, this ensemble was worn once by my daughter (pictured), however the dress is vintage and previously loved and may have small signs of wear. I see nothing that hinders its use as shown
Crown is designed on an open cut work silver metal band which is covered in black fir material on the inside to cover the mechanics as well as add comfort, and features large silk burgundy roses, the pewter colored metal spike that simulate a rather dark side tiara, and red jewel accent. It does have some bulk to it with the adornments, it fits down over the back of a 22" head to secure it. There are some small winged fasteners at back which I left exposed and you may be able to adjust it some there if needed. Note it has been slightly altered from the picture of it on the live model to the solo pics. shown of how it looks now.
See tag for designer and remember vintage sizing usually runs small by todays standards.
Dress
**Lying flat measures: pit to pit 15", waist 13", length top shoulder to front hem 51" and to back hem about 61". As mentioned this has several inches of stretch.
Fits mannequin when she measures Bust 36", waist 30" shoulder to hem 56"
My ensembles are made up of mostly pre-owned and vintage, unrelated separates to recreate OOAK costumes usually never worn as pictured, however, consider them previously enjoyed as the garments have usually been around for some time
