■Product Description
This is the wapiti leather version of the Oklahoma City WWII 1st-type WWII model, which generated a great deal of buzz as the first release in HIGH LARGE LEATHERS’ revival series. While horse leather is typically the main material used by this brand and FINE CREEK LEATHERS, this piece features wapiti—a large deer species second only to moose in size. The leather—a full-grain, full-vegetable-tanned hide luxuriously thinned from 5mm to 2.4–2.5mm—retains the suppleness characteristic of deer leather while offering a rugged grain and substantial heft that surpass even horsehide. The lining features an original wool blanket, recreated by dissecting and analyzing vintage blankets.
