●Product Overview
The Lemnos essent wall clock was created through a careful exploration of the essential function and materials of a wall clock. Time is expressed through two systems at once: the familiar 12-hour scale for hours and a 60-unit scale for minutes and seconds. While most clocks display only the numbers 1 through 12, essent clearly presents both systems using two sets of numerals in distinct colors, making the hour, minute, and second scales easy to recognize at a glance. A custom typeface was also developed to maintain excellent readability while preserving a calm, balanced appearance.

Inspired by traditional letterpress printing, the dial is crafted from thick paper and finished with foil stamping and blind embossing, creating subtle depth and texture rarely found in wall clocks. The silent sweep second hand moves smoothly without a ticking sound, making it an excellent choice for bedrooms, living rooms, home offices, and children's rooms.

Designed by Daisuke Kitagawa and made in Japan, the essent wall clock received the Good Design Award 2025, recognizing its thoughtful balance of clarity, craftsmanship, and minimalist design.
