Up for sale is an authentic piece of mid-century design history: a triangular studio art pottery dish dated 1952. The interior features a striking, stylized freehand abstract line drawing etched into the light blue-grey glazed surface. This modernist graphic style is highly reminiscent of post-war studio ceramics from the early 1950s.

The underside of the central recessed base is hand-incised with the artist's initials "LL" and the specific year of creation, "1952". There are also some faint blue pigment transfer spots on the raw clay foot ring from the original studio glazing process. It makes an excellent restoration candidate or a poignant display piece for collectors of authentic mid-century modern (MCM) ceramics.

PLEASE NOTE CONDITION BEFORE BIDDING OR BUYING. As heavily detailed in the close-up images, this piece features a severe structural hairline fracture that runs completely through the clay body. The crack cleanly splits the central base, breaks completely through the heavy foot ring on both sides, and travels up the interior wall. There is also a tiny glaze nick on the bottom outer rim edge. The dish is currently holding together in one piece but is being sold strictly "AS-IS" for parts, repair, or display due to this structural damage.
