LALIIQUE French Sanglier or Wild Boer car mascot:

Introduced on the 3rd of October 1929 as Lalique catalogue No. 1157. Dimensions: 9 x 6.5 cm

This item is in perfect condition in the correct Lalique factory clear & frosted finish. Having a polished mirror like finish to the underneath of the circular base without any scratches of blemishes whatsoever, which is contemporary to the period of this piece. The signature is just post-war and is in a neat small scrolling script to the centre of the underneath of the base. Post-war (1947 under Marc Lalique) the signature changes to a larger and more jagged style from this and is also sometimes found around the edge of the circular base. Then this becomes a paperweight rather than a car mascot per say.

Note: The first eight images show this piece, the next three images show our Lalique plastic advertising label which is available for £95 (one only here), the other images show the book and catalogues referred to and the last two images shows myself at a local antiques fair.

Please see the book Unique Lalique Mascots for illustrations of this particular piece, also shown in the Lalique auction house catalogues that we have for sale elsewhere on our eBay listings. Note that you get this book (worth £55 GPP) absolutely FREE when you purchase our mascots, just mention "Free book offer" with your order.
